The Centre has decided to grant 'notional promotion' to officers with benchmark disabilities from June 30, 2016. This decision is in line with the Supreme Court's directions & ensures financial benefits for these officers when they assume charge. Ministries and departments will create supernumerary posts to maintain seniority of other officials.
