Mohamad Yousuf Tarigami of CPI(M) wins his fifth consecutive term in Kulgam constituency, defeating Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Sayar Reshi. Tarigami received 33,390 votes while Reshi got 25,639 votes. Tarigami, who is supported by various parties except BJP, has held this seat since 1996.
